Once you have enrolled and have access to your course, you can go through the learning content provided to you including the week modules, resources and knowledge checks.

Setting up for assessment success
Students must download the Observation Checklist and forward it to their observer to fill in. There is also a section for your Observer to declare they have received your completed workbook.
Once completed, students are to submit the Observation Checklist in ANZIIF Learning by the due date.
This is listed in your enrolment confirmation email and within the ANZIIF Learning course portal.

Ensure you have completed the Knowledge Checks as these are great practice before heading into the actual assessments.
Have all of your notes and resources prepared as the assessments are open resource.

Assessment results will be available on the advertised result release date of the applicable study period (see My Account).
If you have been successful in all your assessments, a Statement of Attainment (and Testamur of a qualification if applicable) and will be issued via My eQuals within 2-3 business days.
What's new in your assessment
Three attempts for Part A
You now have up to three attempts at the Part A exam within your study period.
Applies to Part A only and must be completed on your scheduled exam date.
No supervisor required
You can complete Parts A, B and C without a supervisor.
Students in China, Myanmar, Papua New Guinea and Vietnam should contact Customer Service.
No time limit
Complete your assessment at your own pace between 12:01am – 11:59pm on your scheduled day.

Key dates and reminders
How many attempts in assessment Part A, B and C?
The attempts for each of the assessments parts are:
- Part A - three tries per question
- Part B - three tries per question
- Part C - one attempt
This applies to all skills units, including NZ Compliance for Advisors units (Part A and B only).

USI Requirements
From 1 January 2015, all students residing in Australia studying with ANZIIF will require a Unique Student Identifier (USI).

What is the observation checklist?
The Observation checklist is a tool used to record specific actions or skills as outlined in the unit of competency and allows students to demonstrate that they have acquired the required knowledge and can apply the relevant skills in a workplace situation.
The Observation checklist will contain:
- A list of workplace tasks which an observer must observe you carrying out in the workplace.
- An integrated workbook check where the observer must observe your completed workbook.
- An alternative assessment check where the observer must observe you have completed the alternative assessment. This is optional; please see further details below.
Students must submit the completed Observation in ANZIIF Learning.

Can I change my assessment date?
Yes. Please refer to our Student Policies under ‘Changes to your Enrolment’.
When can I submit my workplace observation checklist?
You can submit your workplace observation checklist at anytime during the study period you are enrolled into.
We recommend that this be completed prior to the exam date.
Where can I check the important dates of my study?
You can find this information in your enrolment confirmation email or in the relevant academic calendar of your chosen study period.
What is a unit code and where can I find it?
A unit code is a mixture of numbers and letters followed mostly by a ‘-20’ (eg. BR30112-20, T2GI001-20, GICOP-20-06 etc).
You can find this on the skills unit webpage above the title of the unit in gold.
What makes up my assessments?
Assessments for our skills units are made up of:
- 3 Part assessment (Part A, B and C)
- Workbook
- Workplace Observation Checklist

I am studying a NZ compliance for advisers unit, do I need to do Part C, the workbook and workplace observation checklist?
No, the NZ compliance for advisers units have their own assessment component. These units (denoted by a -00) are made up of the following:
- 2 Part assessment (Part A and B)
- Interactive simulation
Can I use the internet during my assessment?
No, you are not able to use the internet during your exam. You can view more detail on our academic policy here.
I have received my results and am required to re-enrol, what do I do now?
You will be eligible to re-enrol and complete the assessment component you were unsuccessful in. Re-enrolment can be done via the ANZIIF website.

I completed studies with ANZIIF in the past, can I get these uploaded onto My eQuals?
Yes. Please contact the ANZIIF Customer Service team to request this.
How do I access my certificate?
All ANZIIF qualifications are now issued digitally via My eQuals, a secure platform used by leading education providers across Australia and New Zealand.
Once you complete your course, you’ll receive an email from My eQuals with instructions to access your certificate.
Your digital certificate is:
- Secure and tamper-proof
- Available anytime, anywhere
- Easy to share with employers or on LinkedIn
