ANZIIF membership offers opportunities at all career stages, starting with Allied membership, for those yet to obtain insurance qualifications and rising to the prestigious level of Fellow, for those with relevant post-graduate qualifications and strong insurance experience. While studying with ANZIIF, students receive complimentary membership for the remainder of the year in which they have studied.

Allied
Allied membership is granted to professionals who work in the insurance industry but do not have an insurance or loss adjusting, risk management or personal injury qualification.
ANZIIF members, above Allied level, are classified as Certified Insurance Professionals (CIP) and are eligible to use ANZIIF post-nominals.
Affiliate CIP
The Affiliate level of membership recognises the levels of education and knowledge that are required and regulated in each area that ANZIIF operates.
In Australia the criteria for entry into the Affiliate level is successful completion of ASIC Compliance (Tier 1 or 2) or the Life Insurance Foundation Requirement.
In New Zealand, the Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5) Version 2 - General Insurance Strand and ANZIIF’s equivalent Compliance Certificates for New Zealand advisers in General Insurance and General Insurance Broking meet the requirement for entry into the Affiliate membership level.
An Affiliate is a Certified Insurance Professional qualified membership level. Visit the CIP section to learn more about what it means to be a Certified Insurance Professional. Affiliates have access to the ANZIIF (Aff) CIP post-nominal and digital badge. Students who have completed their compliance are eligible to upgrade to Affiliate membership.
Associate CIP
Associate membership is granted to financial services professionals who have completed a General Insurance or Life Insurance an insurance qualification equivalent to the AQF Certificate IV level, or the ANZIIF Professional Certificate in Insurance, or have attended and completed all assessment requirements for the Reinsurance Study Course (RISC) event.

Students who have completed a Certificate IV or Professional Certificate level qualification with ANZIIF will receive complimentary upgrade to Associate CIP membership for the remainder of the calendar year.
Senior Associate CIP
Senior Associate membership is granted to financial services professionals who have completed a general insurance, insurance broking, loss adjusting, risk management, life insurance or personal injury qualification equivalent to the AQF Diploma level or ANZIIF Executive Certificate in Insurance.
A Senior Associate CIP is a Certified Insurance Professional qualified membership level. Visit the CIP section to learn more about what it means to be a Certified Insurance Professional. Senior Associates may use the ANZIIF (Snr Assoc) CIP post-nominal and digital badge.
Students who have completed a Diploma or executive Certificate level qualification with ANZIIF will receive complimentary upgrade to Senior Associate CIP membership for the remainder of the calendar year.
Fellow CIP
Fellow is the most prestigious level of membership, awarded to insurance professionals who have completed post-graduate qualifications in financial services and have a strong technical knowledge of, and experience in, the industry.
