2026 Insurance Brokers Compliance Update
This short course delivers the essential compliance knowledge every broker needs to operate confidently and responsibly in today’s regulatory environment. Designed for Australian insurance brokers, the course provides clear, practical guidance on what must be done — and how to do it — to stay compliant.
In just 50 minutes, learners are introduced to key compliance requirements, upcoming changes, and the documentation brokers are required to complete. Through practical tools, templates and job aids, this course helps brokers act in line with legislation while supporting better client outcomes.
In an ANZIIF first, this course also features audio learning, allowing learners to choose to read or listen for a flexible and accessible study experience.

Topics Covered
Topic 1: Advice models
Explores why Australian legislation differentiates between personal advice and general advice and provides examples of each.
Topic 2: Disclosure
Introduces what disclosure is, what is required and how it connects with good client outcomes. Links to the relevant Regulatory Guides and downloadable example registers and checklists are included.
Topic 3: Complaints
Breaks down what complaints are and how to deal with them, including in instances when complaints are resolved quickly. Also covers the connection between complaints and breaches of the Code or law.
Topic 4: Vulnerability
Explores what an experience of vulnerability may look like and provides practical guidance on how to identify a potential experience of vulnerability and what to do afterwards. A job aid outlining the basic steps is provided for quick and easy reference.
