Trends in Quality Assurance & Regulatory Operations

Overview

This session will be a combination of presentation and panel discussion. It will examine the key challenges facing general insurers, life insurers, and insurance brokers, and emerging risks to meeting community expectations and delivering good customer outcomes. The panel will share insights from their monitoring of Code compliance and explore how insurers and brokers can address these risks, better meet their Code commitments, and improve outcomes for customers.

This session will explore evolving cyber risk trends and emerging insurance solutions, including the growing role and implications of artificial intelligence.


Session 4

The Growing Impact of Natural Catastrophes on the Insurance Industry

The growing impact of natural catastrophes is redefining how insurers assess, price, and transfer risk. This session unpacks the shift in claims patterns, the emergence of parametric insurance, and the strategic implications of a world where past data no longer reliably predicts future losses.
