Webinar: New Zealand Fair Insurance Code 2020

Introduced by the Insurance Council of New Zealand (ICNZ) as a code of conduct for the New Zealand insurance industry, the Fair Insurance Code sets out the standard of service member companies must provide to their customers.

With the most recent version of the Code coming into effect on 1 April 2020, it is important for insurers in New Zealand to be familiar with the changes and their responsibilities and obligations to customers.

On Wednesday 1 July, we are lucky to be joined by ICNZ Legal Counsel, Jane Brown who will shed light on the industry's pressing questions.

  • How was the review of the 2016 Code carried out?
  • What key changes were made to the Code during the review?
  • What existing provisions should insurers ensure they are familiar with?
  • How is compliance with the Code monitored?
  • The role of the Code Compliance Committee in investigating significant breaches of the Code

Highly relevant to all ICNZ member companies, this webinar is not to be missed for anyone engaging in the insurance industry in New Zealand.

At the end of this webinar, attendees will be able to:

  • Explain the key changes made to the Fair Insurance Code
  • Discuss the existing provisions insurers should be familiar with
  • Describe how compliance with the Fair Insurance Code is monitored
