    Social Informaticist, Ethical AI

    Dr Theresa Dirndorfer Anderson is a data and information ethicist passionate about shaping future digital and data infrastructure, who is building a human-centred data science network. Theresa's internationally award-winning work as an educator and as a researcher for the past twenty years engages with the ever-evolving relationship between people and emerging technologies. Previously, Theresa was the inaugural Director of the UTS Master of Data Science & Innovation program, where her research guided the development of a uniquely transdisciplinary and human-centred curriculum. Her work engages with data and AI ethics at both a theoretical and practice levels, advising government, industry and NGOs on ways to embed value-sensitive and participatory approaches to data and AI practices in various contexts.
