    Steven Hill is the NIBA Queensland Divisional Committee Chairperson a role he has held for the past 6 years. Steven works as a Director of Capital Innovation Insurance Brokers - Queensland.  Steven leads NIBA’s industry representation efforts and promotes the role and professionalism of brokers to: governments; regulators; businesses and the broader community in Queensland. Steven is a Qualified Practising Insurance Broker and has worked in insurance broking for over 30 years. He held senior positions at Capital Innovation, Aon Risk Services, OAMPS Insurance Brokers and IEA Brokers in three states. Steven was also recognised in 2018 as the Queensland Broker of the Year. He has also been the NIBA Convention Chairperson for 2019.

    AnnMarie is a Senior Vice President and leads the Queensland Corporate Segment for Marsh - world leader in delivering risk and insurance services and solutions and part of the Marsh & McLennan group of companies.

    A Fellow of the Australian & New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance, AnnMarie started her career in Glasgow and has 30 years insurance industry experience in the UK and Australia. 

    In her current role, AnnMarie oversees client service delivery and insurance solutions for clients and is also responsible for business development in Queensland.   Previous roles include client account management, new business and insurance program placement in local and international insurance markets.  Herr client servicing experience spans a wide range of industries including real estate, retail, manufacturing, food & beverage, utilities, aviation and government entities.

    As General Manager for the Policy, Risk and Disaster Planning Directorate, Karl is responsible for the facilitation of industry policy and initiatives regarding emerging risks as well as coordinating the industries response and partnership with government following a significant disaster event.

    Karl brings with him significant experience in the disaster planning and risk management field. Prior to joining the Insurance Council, Karl was responsible for global Disaster Planning, Response and Mitigation for the Qantas Group of Companies. In conjunction with that role, Karl was active in international and domestic forums focused on a wide range of disaster events and emerging risks.

    Prior to Qantas, Karl enjoyed a career in the Royal Australian Air Force, including several operational flying tours and appointments responsible for consequence management and disaster planning.

    John will celebrate his 40th year in the general insurance industry in 2020 where he has a held a variety of roles across Australia covering Claims, Underwriting, Sales and Key Client management. During this period John has spent time in regional Australia as well as capital cities. 

    John has been with QBE since 2013 and currently splits his time between Sydney and Brisbane with his Key Client management role.
