    Managing Director/Solicitor
    Smartlaw

Richard Bootle has spent his professional career connecting people and finding solutions for businesses to help them grow.

While he started his career with what is now Ashursts, Richard’s upbringing on his family farm set the foundations for his philosophy on business development – get your hands dirty, know your product well, and nurture and value your scarce resources.

After returning to his family’s agricultural holdings in central NSW nearly 20 years ago, Richard Bootle is now a founder and director of Moxcol – a diversified law, IT, communications and agricultural corporate.

Richard Bootle likes to know how a business works from the ground up. When he takes on new challenge, it’s important to him that the team is striving for the collective good.

As Co-founder of Rundl, Richard has focused on digitizing customer journeys from conveyancing to finance, construction to engineering.  He helps businesses re-imagine their process in a multisided platform environment where both internal and external teams collaborate to deliver services to the shared customer.
Across the Moxcol Group, Richard joins his business partner Ian Perkins to boast a growing team totaling more than 150 people across Australia and New Zealand, from Christchurch to Darwin – with the largest group based in his home town of Nyngan, in central NSW.
