    Jo has more than 30 years insurance industry experience, both in New Zealand and Australia.

    In July 2016, Jo was appointed CEO of NZbrokers. Prior to this she was National Manager - Underwriting Agencies and Cluster Groups at Allianz Australia, a role that had responsibility for the strategic growth and development of the Specialised Agencies, including Global Transport, Strata Community Insurance and Pet Plan.

    Preceding this role, Jo was NZI’s GM Corporate and Facilities in Auckland where she helped lead the integration of the Lumley NZ business into IAG.

    Jo attended INSEAD business school in France & Singapore completing an Advanced Management Programme.

    Garry started his insurance career with New Zealand Insurance in Dunedin in 1979, and after 17 years was based in Auckland as a regional manager. He then accepted the role of GM Insurance with Lumley Insurance, with responsibilities for underwriting, claims, reinsurance and underwriting agencies.

    After 10 years, Garry accepted a challenge to start up an insurance broking division for Elders Rural Holdings – “Elders Insurance’’, and finished up as National Manager Financial Services with responsibility for Insurance, Rural Lending and Credit Card.

    Following four years with Elders, Garry accepted an Executive Director role with Marsh, and after three years purchased his own broking business based on the North Shore in 2013. Since then their operation has expanded to include locations in Albany, Tauranga, Gisborne, Kati kati and Wellington.

    Garry is a Fellow of ANZIIF, has a Diploma in business studies and an MBA from Henley.

    Roopa is a partner within the Risk practice at Deloitte. She has deep experience in the Financial Services sector, including Insurance, focusing on risk, regulatory and compliance. Roopa has worked closely with clients and regulators. Her experience spans across a number of geographic regions, including UK, Australia and Asia. Roopa has performed a number conduct and risk culture reviews within New Zealand, assisting clients to identify ‘hot spots’ and potential areas of focus.

    Appointed Chief Executive Officer of ANZIIF in 2013, Prue has more than 25 years of experience in financial services, business and education.

    Prue joined ANZIIF after 10 years as the General Manager of Corporate Operations with State Trustees. She is currently a director at Australian banking institution, and civil engineering firm, Citywide Services Solutions. Up until her appointment at ANZIIF, she served as Deputy Chancellor of Victoria University.

    Since her appointment as ANZIIF CEO, Prue has led the transformation of the organisation through the introduction of ANZIIF Professional Standard Qualifications. She has strengthened relationships with industry, entering into partnerships that extend through Asia Pacific and recently into Europe.

    Prue holds a Bachelor of Laws from Queensland University of Technology and a Diploma of Financial Services from ANZIIF. She is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia, and an ANZIIF Senior Associate.
