If you want to know more, come to ANZIIF's second Insurtech Conference to learn how the digital revolution is reshaping the industry and how disruption provides the chance to inspire.

Partnering with Insurtech Australia and FinTechNZ, this regional conference brings together tech and insurance to find unique and innovative ways to work together. 

Day 1 of the conference will feature an Insurtech 101 workshop, for insurance professionals who want to know more about insurtech, the impact on them and also on the industry. 

Day 2 is a full-day conference that will feature Insurtech Alley and Tech Tank.

    Brenton is an innovation, strategy and operations specialist experienced in helping entrepreneurs, teams and executives make ideas happen using his unique experience across both startup and corporate businesses. Brenton is the CEO and Co-founder of Insurtech Australia, Australia’s first member organisation supporting the growth of the Australian Insurtech ecosystem. Brenton is also the Chief Commercial Officer of Cover Genius, named Australia’s fastest growing company in 2017, and leads strategy, sales and customer delivery across two continents. Brenton also founded Alpha39, a specialist insurtech advisory helping insurance companies and tech startups to develop and navigate their innovation and insurtech strategies.


    Previously, Brenton was Head of Innovation at MetLife Insurance Australia where he was responsible for embedding innovation and improvement to MetLife’s customer experience. Prior to this, Brenton spent 9 years' with KPMG (the majority in Adelaide), most recently as an innovation specialist. During this time, Brenton consulted in digital, customer experience and innovation projects and was the global program manager for the elevate61 start-up accelerator, whilst advising and mentoring startups in programs like Techstars and ANZ Innovyz Start.

    Simon is a social entrepreneur, with an executive MBA qualification and 14 years' experience driving innovation in the industry that produces the highest volumes of positive externalities - the insurance industry.

    Simon is COO and co-founder of Insurtech Australia; a member association that helps Australian insurtechs, in collaboration with incumbents, embed customer and shareholder-centric innovations into the insurance value chain.

    Simon is a co-founder of Alpha39 Insurtech Advisory. We help industry incumbents and tech startups with creative innovation strategies, solving juicy problems, finding opportunities, delivering and coaching teams through projects and building new businesses.  

    Simon also advises an NGO, who is striking at the roots and creating some great value for our global community.

    Daniel is a Board member of ANZIIF, and the CEO and Founder of Evari, a small business insurtech start-up based in Sydney and Perth. He is passionate about developing and attracting talent to our industry; and a strong supporter of Insurtech in Australia.

    Daniel was previously CEO General Insurance Australia and New Zealand for Zurich Insurance from mid 2012 until late 2015.  He joined Zurich in 2009, and was previously an Executive General Manager at Suncorp/Vero for 5.5 years. Prior to that, he spent 15 years at Westpac in both insurance and banking, and started his career at KPMG.

    Daniel is a Fellow of ANZIIF, a Sloan Fellow with a Masters from Stanford University Graduate School of Business, California, a Chartered Accountant, and has a Bachelor of Commerce (majoring in Accounting, Finance & Systems) from the University of NSW.

    Andy Jamieson is the founder of Advisr.com.au, an insurtech platform focused on making insurance simpler. Advisr generates new business for brokers and enhances trust with prospective clients. Advisr achieves this by matching individuals and SME businesses with expert insurance brokers who’ve been independently rated and reviewed.

    Prior to Advisr, In 2015 Andy exited Switched On, a digital marketing agency he co-founded in 2007, through a trade sale to global advertising group WPP. Switched On's clients included Westfield, CBA, Canon, Spotify and Vodafone and its growth was recognised through the multiple BRW Fast 100 and Deloitte Technology Fast 50 awards. Before founding Switched On, Andy worked in various marketing roles at Fairfax Digital and eBay.

    Julian has in excess of 24 years’ experience in the IT industry, having held senior positions within a number of IT companies and dealing with large corporate enterprises. Between 2003 and 2009, Julian held senior wide-ranging roles within WorkCover QLD, involving managing a team of experienced professionals and demonstrating innovation in providing strategic direction toward the best use of WorkCover’s information technology budget and system resources. Julian oversees all IT infrastructure and applications.

    Since joining GB in 2009, Julian’s priorities have been to create an information systems team focused on providing the most appropriate level of technology capability to GB. An immediate tactical focus has been around improvement in the reliability of current systems and deploying an architecture going forward that positions GB systems favourably to enable growth.
