ANZIIF is committed to providing relevant, high quality qualifications that set the benchmark for insurance industry education and training.
ANZIIF operates as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) under the Australian Quality Framework (AQF), the Australian Government’s quality assurance system for vocational education and training providers. As an RTO, ANZIIF’s education is recognised as meeting all compliance and regulatory guidelines.
In 2016, ANZIIF began offering ANZIIF Skills Units in addition to traditional Semester Study. ANZIIF Skills Units will be concentrated; skills- based modules of five weeks duration. New Skills Units will be rolled out on a regular basis. Students can choose to complete units relevant to their career aspirations or current job, or complete a series of units to attain a professional qualification.

ANZIIF offers a range of Insurance Broking education and training options, which have been developed in consultation with senior broking professionals in New Zealand and Australia to ensure that it is relevant to your situation.
Certificate III in Insurance Broking
Our Certificate III in Insurance Broking is a 12-24 month employment-based training program that gives a solid understanding of the insurance industry and provides a foundation for further development.
Diploma of Insurance Broking
ANZIIF’s Diploma of Insurance Broking is now delivered via our newly developed Skills Units.
With the flexibility to study where and when best suits, units are delivered online, and are five or seven weeks long. All Skills Units are formally recognised, and have been designed to be applied directly to the workplace.
Brokers can focus on the areas of business they wish to develop, taking units as standalone short courses or, if desired, units can be combined to attain a formal qualification, such as the Diploma of Insurance Broking. Brokers who choose to attain the Diploma will upon completion become CIP members of ANZIIF.

AICLA
The Diploma is also the basis for membership advancement within the Australian Institute of Chartered Loss Adjusters (AICLA)
Successful completion of LA501, LA502, LA503 and LA504 fulfills the educational requirements to obtain AICLA's Certificate in Loss Adjusting Practice. Two elective modules (from LA507 - LA511) will still be required for AICLA’s (Australasian Institute of Chartered Loss Adjusters) Associate membership and Chartered status. Compliance Accreditations
ANZIIF offers a range of Australian Securities and Investments Commission Regulatory Guide 146 (ASIC RG146) compliance solutions for financial services professionals.
There are two levels of compliance within ASIC RG 146, Tier 1 and Tier 2.
Tier 1 compliance
Tier 1 compliance is compulsory for those giving detailed advice in insurance broking, life insurance, superannuation, financial planning, managed investments, derivatives, securities and general insurance, including personal accident and sickness products.
Tier 2 compliance
Tier 2 General Insurance compliance is required for those who provide general and/or personal advice on insurance products.

General
Insurance
For general insurance, there are two levels of compliance within ASIC RG 146 -Tier 1 and Tier 2.
Tier 1
Tier 1 compliance is compulsory for those giving advice on personal accident and sickness products.
Tier 2
Tier 2 general insurance compliance is required for those who provide advice on all other general insurance products, except personal accident and sickness.
ANZIIF offers a number of pathways to these qualifications. The direct path to Tier 1 General Insurance Personal Accident and Sickness compliance is to study GI401 and GI402, both of which belong to the Certificate IV in General Insurance. Alternatively, if you have undertaken previous study, you may be able to follow an upgrade or bridging pathway. The upgrade and bridging modules enable students to upgrade from Tier 2 compliance to Tier 1 compliance or to cross between Tier 1 Broking compliance and Tier 1 General Insurance compliance. The modules also provide credit for specific award course modules, as well as a resulting pathway into a certificate or diploma qualification.
Upon gaining a Tier 1 or Tier 2 qualification, you can become an affiliate member of ANZIIF.
