In this interactive seminar and workshop, we provide early career insurance professionals with the industry knowledge and practical skills to thrive in the workplace.
We believe anyone can reach their peak potential and be a rising star in the industry. This seminar presents tools, tips, and tricks to help anyone new to the industry succeed.
The 2025 theme is Building Meaningful Connections, designed to empower attendees with the confidence and strategies to engage, build, and maintain professional relationships. The program will feature two presentations from senior industry leaders, followed by an interactive speed networking session.

- Access valuable insights into industry trends, challenges, and future directions from experienced leaders
- Learn how organisations approach problem-solving, innovation, and leadership

The presentations will cover the purpose of networking, tips and tricks, personal experiences, and how networking skills can support career growth. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn from experienced speakers.
The seminar will culminate in a speed networking session, offering a unique opportunity to connect with industry leaders and peers. This session will allow participants to put their new skills into practice and expand their professional network in a supportive environment.
Afternoon tea refreshments will be provided, with networking drinks and canapés from 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM.

Lisa Carter is the CEO and Founder of Clear Insurance, where she has established a thriving, multi-award-winning brokerage that operates entirely on a fee-for-service basis.
In 2019, she became the first female recipient of the prestigious NIBA Stephen Ball Memorial Broker of the Year Award and is currently the sole insurance representative on the Reserve Bank of Australia Small Business Finance Advisory Panel.
With a Diploma in Financial Services (Broking) and QPIB status, her expertise is well-founded, drawing from her early experiences in both regional and international brokerages.

Janelle Greene fills the role of Chief Customer Officer at NTI, Australia’s largest transport and logistics insurer. She is responsible for developing the strategic direction of NTI’s Portfolio and Pricing, Data Science and Insights, Customer Experience and Marketing. Janelle has broad experience in marketing, strategic project delivery, and cultural and business transformations, and has consulted to Bupa, Rio Tinto and QSuper. Prior to that, she worked at Suncorp, Morgan Stanley London and Allied Irish Bank in Dublin.
Janelle has a Bachelor of International Business majoring in Economics and Marketing, a Masters of Business Administration majoring in Strategic Leadership, is accredited in the international Barretts Values Centre Cultural Transformation program and has completed the STANFORD LEAD program. She has completed the ANZIIF Executive Certificate in General Insurance Underwriting and has a HR Heavy Rigid truck license.
