Provide Advice in Insurance Broking
This unit has pre-requisite requirements which must be satisfied regardless of whether students are studying towards their ASIC RG146 Tier 1 Insurance Broking Compliance, their ANZIIF Professional Certificate in Insurance or intend to complete this as a stand-alone unit.
The pre-requisite units which should be completed first (prior to completing BR30012-20) are:
- BR30002-20 Manage changes to a broking client's insurance program
- BR30003-20 Prepare submissions for new insurance broking business
- BR30011-20 Deliver professional insurance broking services.
Completion of all four units is required for ASIC RG146 Tier 1 Insurance Broking Compliance.
What you'll learn
- Identify, establish, and analyse a client’s objectives, needs, financial situation and risk profile to develop appropriate strategies and solutions.
- Present appropriate strategies and solutions to a client and negotiate a financial plan, policy, or transaction.
- Obtain client’s formal agreement to confirmed plan, policy, or transaction and ensure they understand fees, cost structures, and timeframes for execution and processing.
- Agree to and implement arrangements for providing ongoing service.
