About

The (re)insurance sector is part of the larger finance sector, but often it is a 'world' that separates insurance, banking and investment business practices.

As the impact of climate change on the finance sector grows, it is now discussed, assessed and evaluated by the industry. However, directed by an adapting regulatory framework, the three financial sectors have very different approaches to addressing climate change.

In this session, Dr Wiart will review the different practices and cover how data is used to assess the present and future risks, with a particular focus on the insurance industry.

For further information about this professional development program, please contact Melanie Hansen, Event Manager.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of this webinar, attendees will be able to:

  • Understand the regulatory framework that guides the insurance, banking and investment sectors
  • Identify the different practices used across the industry to assess climate change
  • Discuss how data is used to assess present and future risks
