What do I lose if I don’t renew by the end of December?

If your membership isn’t renewed by 31 December, your digital badge and CIP status (if applicable) will no longer be valid, and access to member benefits will be temporarily suspended.

Don't worry, your membership renewal offer will remain on your account, ready for you to complete at any time. Once renewed, all your membership entitlements will be fully restored.

Why should I renew my membership by the 31st of December?

Renewing your membership before 31 December ensures your membership remains active without interruption.

This allows you to continue enjoying all ANZIIF member benefits, including professional recognition, exclusive discounts, and access to learning and networking opportunities.

Can I claim membership as a tax deduction?
Yes – if you're paying for your membership personally, it may be tax deductible. Please speak to your tax advisor for individual advice. 
 
What happens after I join or reinstate?
 You’ll receive a welcome email and gain immediate access to the ANZIIF Member Centre, your digital badge, CPD resources, and all member benefits. 
 
How long does my membership last?
Your membership is valid through to 31 December 2026. You’ll receive a renewal reminder toward the end of the year 2026.
What are the benefits of ANZIIF membership?
Members receive post-nominals, unlimited access to CPD tools and webinars, member-only content, exclusive discounts on courses and events, and opportunities for recognition through awards and spotlights.  
What’s the difference between reinstating and joining?

If you’ve previously been an ANZIIF member, you’ll reinstate. If you’re new to ANZIIF, you’ll join as a new member.

I already have a current ANZIIF membership but have attained a qualification from somewhere else. Can I upgrade my membership?

You certainly can!

Our ANZIIF Customer Service team can make a preliminary assessment of your qualification to determine the membership level eligibility.

Please email us with a scanned copy of your qualification certificate and the Membership Upgrade Form to ANZIIF customer service at [email protected] 

I would like to upgrade to Fellow. What is the criterion and how do I do this?

Fellow is the most prestigious level of membership, awarded to insurance professionals who have completed post-graduate qualifications in financial services and have a strong technical knowledge of, and experience in, the industry.

To become a Fellow, members must meet the set Fellow criteria.

Once you have met the requirements, please contact our ANZIIF Customer Service team. 

They will guide you through the next steps and finalise your upgrade.
