Introduced by the Insurance Council of New Zealand (ICNZ) as a code of conduct for the New Zealand insurance industry, the Fair Insurance Code sets out the standard of service member companies must provide to their customers.

The most recent version of the Code came into effect on 1 April 2020. It is important for insurers in New Zealand to be familiar with the changes and their responsibilities and obligations to customers.
