Tier 1 Insurance Broking Compliance

ANZIIF’s Tier 1 Insurance Broking will satisfy ASIC’s Regulatory Guide146 (ASIC RG146) Tier 1 requirements for providing general and personal advice to broking clients.

This course is aimed at Insurance professionals in small or large broking businesses who require:

  • well-developed interpersonal, communication and self-management skills
  • general insurance knowledge to perform a specialist advisory role in insurance broking
  • the ability to address the needs of both retail and wholesale clients.

Individuals who complete this pathway will gain the skills and knowledge required to analyse a client’s insurance needs and provide advice ethically and professionally in compliance with industry regulations  and codes of practice.

The units

ANZIIF’s ASIC RG146 Tier 1 Insurance Broking pathway is made up of four skill units, with each unit being 5 weeks in duration.

Students can enrol in any order of preference and can choose to study more than one unit at a time, but BR30012-20 Provide Advice in Insurance Broking must be completed last due to pre-requisite requirements. It is recommended to start with one unit to determine the best fit with your own personal circumstances.
