Verisk Risk Rating (VRR) offers a suite of IT solutions that provide insurers with the ability to perform automated medical risk assessments online, via agents or within call centre environments. The VRR Travel Risk Assessment Tool – known as the Travel Black Box – is used to risk assess individual’s pre-existing medical conditions. Globally, the Travel Black Box is used for approximately 17 million medical risk assessments per annum, and has a growing presence in the APAC region with more than 1,000,000 medical screenings performed annually in Australia and New Zealand alone. The VRR Travel Black Box software offers an ‘expert’ medical system to assess a traveller’s medical conditions logically and methodically using an algorithmic approach.
