Group Life Seminar

Sydney - Wednesday 16 May Melbourne - Wednesday 23 May

The life industry as a whole continues its trend of constant change and improvement. Our annual seminar is the perfect chance to take stock and reflect on the improvements the industry has made over the past year. It also allows us to look forward to areas where ongoing investment is required.

This year’s seminar will again see an update from APRA’s Adrian Rees, which is always relevant and extremely interesting — we like to think of it as a check-in on our collective industry scorecard over the last 12 months.

Katherine Gobbi from EMLife will provide an update on how EMLife is taking an integrated approach to injury management and Return to Work for the life industry, leveraging their significant expertise in managing workers compensation claims. While there has been a lot of talk on this topic in recent years, this approach is getting real and measurable traction, and EMLife is at the forefront of this initiative.

Keristi Price from Sunsuper will detail how Sunsuper has approached its insurance from a fresh perspective, and will discuss new and innovative product design, the impact of the ISWG Code of Practice and the future direction of insurance in super. Sunsuper’s approach is to undertake extensive workshops with members, and Keristi will share some of their latest findings around member communication and engagement.

The afternoon will include a panel session featuring all speakers. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage as a table to reflect on the content and formulate relevant questions for the panel
