Chief Executive Officer

Guide Dogs SA/NT

Aaron Chia is the Chief Executive Officer of Guide Dogs SA/NT and has led the organisation since 2017 through some significant change.

This included the implementation of NDIS, opening Beau’s Pet Hotel, and the expansion of its assistance dog program beyond Autism Assistance Dogs- providing Facility Dogs to the SA Attorney General’s Department, Wirreanda Secondary School’s WAVE programme, Kidman Park Primary School, and the Adelaide Airport.

Aaron is particularly proud of Guide Dogs SA/NT’s ability to continue to provide pro-bono services to clients with Acquired Brain Injury- people with vision loss that don’t yet qualify for NDIS funding, utilising funds generously donated by Guide Dogs supporters.

Outside of Guide Dogs, he chairs the NFP boards of community housing provider YourPlace Housing Limited and salary packaging organisation, the Community Business Bureau (CBB). He also chairs the Risk and Performance Committee of the SA Fire and Emergency Services Commission.
