    In his role as Chief Executive Officer of Sedgwick Australia, Diego oversees insurance, loss adjusting, forensic accounting, TPA and building restoration services across Australia.  Diego joined Sedgwick, formerly Cunningham Lindsey, in January 2017 as the Chief Operations Officer.

    Prior to Sedgwick, he was the Head of Insurance and Advisory Services in Australia for Xchanging. In this role, Diego oversaw all Business Processing activities for Xchanging in NSW, Victoria and South Australia, as well as overall management of the Victorian and NSW business operations. Diego worked for Xchanging between 2009 to 2016 after his role as Director of the Insurance Advisory Services practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers where he consulted broadly to the insurance sector in Australia and Asia Pacific region. 

    Diego has had extensive experience in the auditing & change management of claims practices for both government and general insurers and was seconded to the HIH Royal Commission between 2001 – 2002 to investigate the claims management practices of HIH and FAI. 

    Diego is a qualified Solicitor. He has a Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Law and a MBA. He is also an Associate of the Insurance Institute of SA and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

    Fiona Cameron has worked for the Insurance Council of Australia since 2010 in senior roles focusing on regulatory policy and government relations. For the past two years she has developed and implemented the Insurance Council’s policies in relation to consumer outcomes, the Consumer Liaison Forum, the General Insurance Code of Practice, and state and federal statutory schemes.

    Prior to joining the Insurance Council Fiona held senior positions in research, policy, consumer relations, stakeholder relations, regulation and law across a broad range of industry sectors.

    Gary Dransfield is Suncorp’s Chief Executive Officer Insurance. He joined Suncorp in 2009 and has held various positions on the Senior Leadership Team including Chief Executive Officer Customer Platforms, Chief Executive Officer Personal Insurance and Chief Executive Officer Vero New Zealand.

    Before joining Suncorp, Gary worked for 25 years in the retail financial services industry. He played a key role in the successful conversion of St George from a building society to a bank and led the IT team at IAG during the demutualisation of NRMA and was Acting CEO of IAG Direct Insurance before joining Suncorp.

    Gary has been heavily involved in natural disaster responses for 20 years – from the 1999 Sydney hail storm through the 2011 Queensland floods and Christchurch earthquakes to the 2019 Townsville floods.

    He is the Deputy President of the Insurance Council of Australia and is a past President of the Insurance Council of New Zealand.

    Gary has a keen interest in improving the resilience of communities to natural catastrophes and in the societal importance of insurance.

    Estelle is an Actuary who has worked in the general insurance industry for 30 years. During 2002 she was the actuarial expert to the HIH Royal Commission and helped a number of insurers implement the changes to capital and governance introduced by APRA subsequent to that Royal Commission.

    Since then she has acted as an Appointed Actuary to a number of insurance companies and over the years has helped them and their Boards navigate the ever increasing levels of regulation.

    Estelle has also worked as a temporary Chief Risk Officer and is on the Board of the National Disability Insurance Agency giving her a different perspective on risk and compliance.
