Recognition of Prior Learning

for new zealand general insurance advisor COMPLIANCE

ANZIIF recognises and appreciates current competency and the level of professional experience you hold, which is why for General Insurance Brokers with around 2+ years' experience, Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is an available pathway towards attaining the ‘ANZIIF New Zealand Compliance for Advisers (General Insurance Broking)’.

As a registered training organisation, ANZIIF has been providing RPL for over 25 years, and is the only educator in the NZ market actively promoting RPL for this certification.

Elements specific to the incoming Financial Advice Regime will be included in a specially tailored bridging unit. This unit must be completed by all who seek compliance certification via ANZIIF – including those relying on RPL in their pathway.

what is rpl?

RPL is the option for skilled brokers to receive accreditation based on demonstrated capability.

RPL provides you the opportunity to achieve a full or partial ANZIIF certification via the evaluation and credit of formal learning (institutes of technology, polytechnics, and private training establishments) and informal learning (on-the-job training, skills and experience, professional development programmes or skills and knowledge gained through voluntary work).

benefits of Rpl

RPL offers many benefits, including:

  • Avoids having to repeat learning
  • Saves time and money by finishing your studies quicker - RPL is generally faster than completing a qualification or certification
  • Potential recognition for overseas professionals who want to attain the NZ domestic compliance certification
